Gerard Pique opens up on Barcelona’s shock loss

In February, while speaking on his Twitch stream, the player made his feelings clear about his former club, Manchester United. The Red Devils thrashed his childhood club Barcelona in the Europa League.

When he was asked about the shocking loss, the player reacted very furiously and described it as a “f****** mess.” Xavi Hernandez’s side lost 4-3 on aggregate. In the first leg, Barcelona did secure a decent comeback, thus ending the game 2-2.

However, things escalated in the second leg, as they lost 2-1 against Ten Haag’s side. The Premier League side was a goal down; however, goals from Fred and Antony inspired a brilliant comeback.

Indeed, it was a poor exit for Europe, as they have failed to win either of the European Cups since 2015. Moreover, it was tough for Pique to watch his beloved cup endure such defeat at the hands of his other former club.

Aside from making a name for himself in soccer, the former player is getting quite a few headlines. Ever since he split up with Shakira, the latter has become the talk of the town. The star couple broke up last year after he reportedly cheated on Columbia, thus ending their 12-year relationship.

Since their breakup, a lot has happened, as Shakira released a diss track on Pique. The song became an instant hit. Moreover, it even led to Piqu getting humiliated in front of many people.

While organizing the King’s League final at Spotify Camp Nou, popular Spanish rappers Chuty and Gazir also came to entertain the fans. The duo started singing a few lines from Shakira’s diss track.

However, Pique didn’t seem to care at all and continued scrolling through his phone. He was accompanied by his new girlfriend, Clara Chia, and his two sons as well. Both Pique and Shakira might be better off apart, but the after-breakup drama continues.
