Soccer star joins Giannis Antetokounmpo
Brands tie up with players who collaborate with each other to promote them to their fans and communities. Thus, back in 2022, the $70 million worth star was seen with former Borussia Dortmund man Erling Haaland, in a brand promotion.
Both the superstars of their respective games were promoting a Swiss watchmaker, Breitling. They were also joined by snowboarding star Chloe Kim. The trio was a part of an exclusive campaign, #SQUADONAMISSION, specifically dedicated to all three.

The respective athletes were promoting a new watch, Chronomat GMT 40 and Super Chronomat 38. All three were in a small advert where they talk about the moments they’ve spent while training throughout their careers.
Haaland’s love for watches
Erling Haaland is known to be a watch freak, which made it easier for Breitling to convince the striker. The $40M worth soccer starlet has proclaimed himself a watch lover and has nothing but praise for the new Chronomat GMT 40 watch model.
“If you know my style, you know I always go for a clean look, and the new Breitling I’m representing is exactly that, a watch that works for everything that I do,” said Haaland.

It’s good to see athletes from the younger generation not only promoting the brand but inspiring millions of teenagers. Although, this might be the first time both Haaland and Giannis became a part of an advert, promoting a brand together, both of them have been associated with American giants Nike before.
