However, the World Cup winner rejected all the offers in an attempt to stay at the Catalonia club. But later, he was forced to leave due to severe financial constraints, resulting in a shocking transfer to PSG.

Even today, after settling well in the French capital, the Argentine has potential admirers from around the world. Recently, Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal has been eyeing a potential move for the Barca legend.

Lionel Messi rejects Saudi deal

The Lionel Messi transfer saga has once again brought his name into the headlines. Al-Hilal is eager to bring him after getting inspired by their fellow rival, Al Nassr, who recently engineered Ronaldo’s move to Riyad. The Middle Eastern club is reportedly ready to break the bank for his arrival and is offering $350 million per year to the little magician.

This is one of the biggest contracts in the history of sports that is being given to an athlete, which will also make him the biggest earner in soccer. The deal surely looks tempting enough, but it’s unlikely that the 35-year-old will sign the contract.

It is being reported that Messi won’t fancy a move to the Middle East and has desired to continue his journey in Europe. Despite getting a big fat cheque, the forward isn’t thinking about the move.

Where will Messi go?

Messi’s contract expires at the end of the season, and there is no news about La Pulga’s next destination. PSG is reportedly looking to offer the playmaker an enticing contract.

While there is interest from other clubs, one of them is his long-term suitor, Inter Miami. David Beckham’s side is keen to bring the player to the U.S. While, an interest from Barcelona has also been rekindled as the former club is looking to reunite with their ex-skipper.
