The former Barcelona star won the prestigious award for a record seventh time, thus adding another accolade to his trophy cabinet.

La Pulga won the race ahead of his PSG compatriot Kylian Mbappe and former rival Karim Benzema. Both Frenchmen came in second and third, respectively. It was an amazing night for Argentina as Emiliano Martínez and Lionel Scaloni won the best goalkeeper and men’s coach award, respectively.
