Bayern Munich ends speculations over signing Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo was looking for a move in the summer in search of the UEFA Champions League soccer. Manchester United failed to qualify for this year’s edition despite of his heroics last season. His agent, Jorge Mendes, offered Ronaldo to many European heavyweights, including the likes of Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich.
The biggest constraint on the move for Ronaldo was his age and salary demands. Although in the last stages of the summer transfer window, he lowered his salary demands significantly, a transfer to any of the mentioned clubs didn’t happen. The player will hope for things to change as he is now available on a free transfer in January. The ongoing FIFA edition is a perfect stage to showcase that he still has left elite soccer.
Cristiano Ronaldo has a big monetary offer from Saudi Arabia
Many European pundits believe Ronaldo has already played his last game in European soccer. His future lies outside Europe, with MLS or Gulf countries being the favored destinations. These destinations will be attractive given that the money Ronaldo will receive will be huge compared to European clubs.
One such offer that has made headlines is the one from Saudi Arabia. In his interview with Piers Morgan, he said about the £350 million offer from a Saudi club in the summer and that he turned down the offer.

Nonetheless, the Saudi club has once again come up with a big offer for Ronaldo. It is believed the offer is around $225 million per season, which includes salary and advertising agreements. The deal is set to be for around two and a half years. However, only time will tell whether Ronaldo accepts the offer or not. Currently, the Portuguese superstar is completely focused on Qatar WC as the captain of his national team.
