A $200 million per year offer for Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo finally can get a club to play for, with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr making a serious offer to sign the player. It is the second offer made by the club after the first offer in the summer came with a refusal from the player. The player is out of contract after mutually ending the contract with Manchester United last month.

Almost €200m per season until 2025.
But… big part is sponsor deals, so it’s not clear yet if image rights can be agreed.
Nothing done/signed or decided.

Fabrizio Romano, in his tweet, said that the offer is on the table for a player who will earn $200 million per year until 2025. Although there are a few barriers to the deal to go through. The image rights agreement might be the biggest obstacle in the deal, as per the transfer expert.
On the other hand, the player is currently focusing on Portugal’s World Cup campaign, which might be his last one before hanging the boots. Nothing is done yet, and he will take his time.
The deal has the potential to make Cristiano Ronaldo the highest-paid sports person. He could overtake Lionel Messi and LeBron James, who are first and second, respectively, on the list. As per Forbes, Lionel Messi earns close to $130 million a year, and James is not far behind with $121.2 million.
The net worths of Messi, James, and Ronaldo compared
The net worth of Cristiano Ronaldo is $500 million. The Portuguese earn around $60 million from their salary and $55 million from endorsements. He is fast approaching the $1 billion lifetime earnings. The Saudi Arabia deal could help him achieve the feat.
LeBron James is now the first active NBA athlete to become a billionaire, joining Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, who did so after retirement 💰

The net worth of Lionel Messi stands at $600 million as compared to LeBron James’ $1 billion. Lionel Messi earns most of his income from his salary. Contrary, James earns most of his income through endorsements. Like Ronaldo, James also has signed a $1 billion lifetime deal with Nike. Messi is also linked with a big-money move to MLS side Inter Miami CF.
Qatar FIFA World Cup might be the last time we will see Cristiano Ronaldo at an elite level. Time will tell whether Ronaldo chooses to end his career with the Saudi Arabian club or he still tries to move to a European club.
