David Beckham was cast into the spotlight once again shortly following the release of his Netflix documentary titled ‘Beckham.’ Since the docu-series was released several famous icons have commented about the Inter Miami owner and his life, including his former teammates and even renowned British pop star and singer Adele. But now Beckham’s close friend has responded with a message of his own.

Beckham’s ties with the music industry run deep, especially considering his wife Victoria’s stint with the Spice Girls. Since then the ex-England captain has also established a long-lasting friendship with a Latin pop icon. The singer recently received a star on the famed Hollywood Walk of Fame, which Beckham celebrated in a candid post on Instagram, calling him his ‘brother’.

Pop star Marc Anthony makes a post in support of ‘brother’ David Beckham

David Beckham’s friendship with renowned singer Marc Anthony is well documented. The 55-year-old musician, who is worth a reported $80 million, catapulted to fame in the 90s becoming a Latin pop icon while also picking up 4 Grammys over the course of his career.

Beckham and Anthony share a close brotherly bond with each other and constantly support each other publicly. Shortly following the ex-Three Lions captain’s Netflix documentary release, Anthony made a post about Beckham’s luxury eyewear brand David Beckham Eyewear.

In a post on his X handle, Marc Anthony tweeted a picture of himself wearing his close mate’s glasses, stating: “New take on a classic look. Thank you, my brother David Beckham. So proud of you. ‘Eyewear’ from here on out.“

Marc Anthony’s support of his close mate David Beckham comes just a month after the ex-England soccer icon made his own post to celebrate the former pop star’s huge achievement in getting a star on the Walk of Fame strip in Los Angeles.

Beckham celebrated Marc Anthony’s birthday & Hollywood Walk of Fame induction last month

Taking to Instagram earlier last month Beckham penned a tribute to Anthony for getting his star on the famed Hollywood strip in a post on the social media platform. Beckham’s post read: “So proud of my brother another incredible achievement and so well deserved ⭐️ Honoured to be there for you 🩷 Love you man @marcanthony ⭐️”

In conversation with the media after Anthony’s Walk of Fame induction, the Inter Miami owner further added,  “Marc, we love you. Never change. Never change because you are truly a special talent, but you are even more a special person. Enjoy this moment because you have earned all of the love and respect that you feel here today.”

It certainly seems like Beckham and Anthony are very close mates and perhaps feed off each other’s achievements. Furthermore, it’s a classic example that celebrities from different industries can be close friends as well.
