Moura is in the last few months of his contract and can leave the club at the end of the season. He last played for the first team of Tottenham before the World Cup break started. Brazilian has been struggling with injuries this season, and his recent tendon injury has kept him out of action for a few months.

Tottenham assistant coach Cristian Stellini on Friday announced Moura will feature for the U-21 team. Stellini said, “Lucas is coming back, and to try to analyze his situation, tonight, he can play one half for the Under-21s. We are happy to know that maybe Lucas can come back. We’ve lost him for a long time, and it’s a problem that you don’t know until you try to play a game, to understand if you can be available or not.”

As planned, Moura played the first half of the game against Arsenal U-21. He was lively in the first 45 minutes and scored an equalizer to cancel out Arsenal’s goal. The player will feel confident after scoring on his return and is eyeing a return to the first team next weekend.

Moura has made only 11 appearances this season out of 29 games. Tottenham is yet to offer any new deal to the player. Meanwhile, the soccer star got unlikely support pitchside during the game for U-21.
