A friend in need is a friend indeed. Well, Cristiano Ronaldo takes that feeling to the next level. He loves to offer gifts and help to his friends and recently made a wonderful gesture. Fans of the Portuguese are well aware of his relationship with Jose Semedo, one of his best companions for life. And, his latest token is just inspiring at multiple levels. Semedo and Ronaldo rose through the Sporting Academy ranks and played soccer together. 

But tragedy struck in 2021 when Semedo lost his wife because of health concerns. CR7 had previously offered his tribute to his friend at that time, and now the 5x Ballon d’Or winner has stepped up once again.  

Cristiano Ronaldo offers a surprising gesture to his best friend!

According to Dioguinho, Ronaldo helped to get Semedo into a sports related position at Al Nassr, helping him out in his career. For many years, he has stayed loyal to his friend, and that friendship continues to grow to greater heights. Apart from that, Ronaldo also bought Semedo a house, to the delight of his comrade. It is one of the most thoughtful gestures by CR7. Likewise, he had given a tribute to Semedo’s wife, who passed away too young. 

Soraia, his wife, passed away suddenly after health complications following an infection. Ronaldo took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post about Semedo’s wife’s sudden demise. He stated, “There are times when everything goes into the background, including football. Last week, unexpectedly, left a fantastic human being, our dear Soraia, a wonderful mother and wife of one of the best friends life has given me. Nothing can erase the pain of my brother José Semedo and the entire family, but we are together, today as always, to face this very difficult time. Rest in peace my friend We will never forget you. 💫🙏🏽”

Jose Semedo played at Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton, and the two friends only shared a pitch on youth level. They still share a close bond, and Ronaldo had earlier expressed how Semedo was a telling influence in his career. Isn’t it lovely to see the lighter side of Cristiano Ronaldo?
