The long-awaited 2023 NWSL season is finally here. The NWSL just unveiled its schedule for the new soccer season. Just 45 days prior to the first kick-off, the fans just cannot wait for the newest edition of the National Women’s Soccer League. If you notice closely, the season is a bit further stretched out as compared to the usual NWSL season. This is due to the FIFA Women’s World Cup international break.

No club soccer will be played in the NWSL between July 10-20 and August 7-17. Additionally, to help national team players not miss too many league games, the NWSL will mainly focus on the Challenge Cup from July 10 to August 17.

Also, the soccer league has allowed all its eligible players to leave for international duty on July 26. Each soccer team in the NWSL will play a total of 22 regular season games. However, all 12 clubs will compete on the final day of the regular season for the first time. This will mainly decide the final rankings on the points table for the playoffs.
