The summer transfer window is still months away. But this hasn’t stopped the clubs from scouting the players and young talents worldwide. Scouting the emerging stars is one of the arduous tasks, and soccer clubs have dedicated teams for scouting. One such emerging star from MLS, who has represented USMNT twice, is on the radar of several European giants.

The San Jose Earthquake forward has represented USMNT at youth levels. He has played for U-16, U-17, and U-20 sides for the US and made his debut in a friendly in December 2021 for the senior team. Now, with the player on the radar of several European giants, two of the Serie A giants are believed to be the frontrunners for the signature of the American starlet.

European soccer giants following USMNT starlet

German club Bayern Munich is the one club interested in Cade Cowell for the summer transfer move, as per 90min. The Premier League club Newcastle United is also following the player ahead of the summer transfer. But reports from 90min claim two Italian giants have made strides to land the striker in the summer.

Juventus, who are struggling with off-the-field issues, and reigning Serie A champions AC Milan are ahead in the race to sign the starlet. However, it won’t be a straightforward job, as the player signed a new contract extension last year. The contract runs until 2025 with an option of one more year. It will be interesting to see how things pan out in the summer.

Meanwhile, the player who has represented the US so far is eligible to play for Mexico. Although, he hasn’t been called up by Mexico yet. Despite playing for USMNT, Cowell can play for Mexico without applying for FIFA’s One Time Switch as he has just played unofficial friendlies. It will remain to see what the 19-year-old decides in the future.
