Brazil was outright rampant in their 5-1 win over Bolivia in the World Cup Qualifiers clash. Neymar scored a stunning brace, with Rodrygo and Raphinha helping the team take the lead early in the game. This was the Brazilian’s first outing on the pitch after joining Saudi’s Al-Hilal. Following Neymar’s stellar performance, Jimmy Butler took to his Instagram to laud the soccer star.

On an Instagram story, the Miami Heat star congratulated him for breaking a major record by the great Pele. He wrote, “All-time leader in goals for Brazil. Congrats, my brother @neymarjr“. With that stunning performance, Neymar dethroned Brazilian legend Pele to become the all-time top goalscorer for Brazil. Earlier, his tally tied with Pele’s record of 77 goals. But after netting twice in Brazil’s World Cup qualifying match against Bolivia, he pushed it to 79 goals.

“I am very happy, no words for this… I never thought I would reach this record,” said Neymar while talking to the media. It was a 52-year-old record. He was handed a plaque by the president of the Brazilian Football Confederation for his historic achievement.
