French Basketball legend Tony Parker announced his retirement from the NBA after an illustrious 18-year career. The San Antonio Spurs guard was inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame over the weekend. The ceremony was attended by his close friend and soccer legend Thierry Henry.

Parker spent the vast majority of his career at Spurs. The French star had an illustrious career, winning four NBA titles. During his induction speech, Parker got emotional when talking about a rough phase in his career, as he thanked Henry for staying by his side when everyone thought his career was done for.

Tony Parker had a great time in the NBA and will go down in history as one of the best French players of all time. During his induction speech, Parker got emotional for a moment as he turned to Henry, who was present in the crowd, calling his big brother.

“Titi, I didn’t have a big brother, but you were there for me, my big brother. When I tore my ligament. When they said my career was over, you flew in 48 hours later to help me with going to the restroom and with everything with my leg. Because I couldn’t do anything. You were always there for me. Thank you very much.”

Thierry Henry and Tony Parker have shared a great bond over the years. The French duo have often been photographed together whenever in the same town. Henry was present in Springfield for Parker’s induction ceremony, where he had a humorous interaction with the media.

Tony Parker spent 17 years of his career at San Antonio Spurs, donning the team’s color. The star was present at his San Antonio mansion alongside his friends, including Thierry Henry, before the NBA Hall of Fame ceremony.

On their way to the event, Henry had a humorous interaction with the media when he was asked if he had followed his friend’s career.

“Although I followed him all the way, it’s still not something I can comprehend. I know it’s surreal, and he’s deserving, but it’s crazy when you think about it.” However, when the reporter asked Henry to admit if he was a Spurs fan, the soccer legend looked horrified as laughed before commenting, “I’m an Arsenal fan. Are you mad?!”

It is interesting to see the bond the French duo share despite coming from different sports. Both Thierry Henry and Tony Parker have made a name for themselves and will go down as legends in their respective sports.
