On Tuesday, LeBron James finally did it and made history. In the Los Angeles Lakers match against the Oklahoma City Thunder, LeBron solidified his name in the NBA record books by beating the all-time record for the most points scored.

With 36 points in the game, King James’ total is now at an astounding 38,388 points, beating the previous record of NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who held the record for 39 years. LeBron James has now reached a new domain of athletes consisting of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo from soccer and Adam Vinatieri from the NFL. All of them are the leading scorer in their respective sports.

As the world celebrated James’ achievement, two of soccer’s biggest stars also took to social media to congratulate the basketball icon.

Kylian Mbappe and David Beckham acknowledge LeBron James

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappé took to Instagram to share a picture of him and James, writing “The Greatest” with a crown emoji in the caption. The 24-year-old star has publicly expressed his enthusiasm for the NBA and specifically LeBron James. The LA Lakers legend is also on the list of his favorite players.

Another soccer legend, David Beckham, also posted on his Instagram story, congratulating James and his family who were also present courtside at the game. “All Time scoring KING, Congrats man so proud for you and the family,” Beckham wrote.
