All the participating nations are putting on quite a show in the prestigious tournament so far. Likewise, the USWNT also kicked off the tournament in style. Interestingly, one of their star players, Trinity Rodman recently clinched a huge achievement.

Trinity Rodman has endured a phenomenal rise in the past few years. Not only did it lead her to make her debut in this year’s World Cup, but it also got her name on a unique list of American athletes, where she outshone not one but four female basketball stars!

Women’s sports have never been as prominently featured and recognized on both national and international stages as they are now. Fans have started to give them the recognition they deserve. Certainly, it wouldn’t have been possible without the rising stars. Subsequently, in order to find out who is the most popular young female athlete, SportsBook Review recently tested a hypothesis.

With success, they released a list of the most Google-searched athletes in the US in the last 12 months. Likewise, soccer star Trinity Rodman got her name on the list. She may not have clinched first place, but she managed to share fifth place with golf star Nelly Korda. Both athletes garnered 74,000 searches. Indeed, it is quite an achievement for the Washington Spirits star.

Apart from this, she also piped four basketball stars. She shaded the likes of Paige Bueckers, Sabrina Ionescu, Aliyah Boston, and Haley Cavinder. Speaking of other athletes, famous Gymnast Olivia Dunne bagged the No. 1 spot with 550,000 searches. The second spot was again shared by basketball star Caitlin Clark and tennis maestro Coco Gauff, with 368,000 searches. Another basketball star, Angel Reese, took fourth place.

Furthermore, skiing expert Eileen Gu took seventh place alongside Bueckers. While the aforementioned basketball stars, Ionescu took ninth place, Boston and Cavinder took tenth place. Nevertheless, it was quite an achievement for Trinity. Meanwhile, her dad, Dennis, revealed he was going to prison.

This may sound surprising to your ears, but Dennis Rodman is good friends with North Korean leader, Kim Jong-Un. During a period of heightened tensions between the USA and North Korea, the former NBA star visited the Asian country. It was known that Kim Jong-Un had a particular interest in the Chicago Bulls and their legendary players, such as Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. The US government saw an opportunity to use this shared love for basketball as a potential avenue for diplomatic talks.

The North Korean administration asked Vice if they would get Jordan or Pippen to film a documentary. However, with both of them rejecting it, Dennis agreed to the project. Hence, he traveled to North Korea to take part in an exhibition match between the Harlem Globetrotters and North Korean players. During the visit, he revealed that he thought he was “going to prison.” But Dennis was warmly received by the locals. In fact, since 2013, he has visited North Korea a number of times.
