Dennis Rodman’s Daughter Trinity Rodman Had Already Decided on Soccer’s Biggest Debate Months Before Lionel Messi’s FIFA World Cup Coronation

The biggest debate in soccer is arguably the one that includes Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Many former and current soccer had their say over which player they favored. The World Cup win last year for Messi has changed the opinions of a few so far. USWNT starlet Trinity Rodman also had her say a few years back on the debate.

Ronaldo and Messi have entertained soccer fans a lot with their goals. They are approaching the end of their career. Almost all the important records are in the name of the two, and the world won’t see the soccer players like them again after their retirement. At 35, Messi is playing at PSG, while Ronaldo, at 38, is playing in Saudi Arabia for Al Nassr FC. 

Trinity Rodman picks Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo

Considered as next big thing in US soccer, Trinity Rodman took the NWSL by storm in her first professional season with Washington Spirit. The daughter of Dennis Rodman won the Rookie of the Year and the US Soccer Young Player of the Year and was named to NWSL Best XI in 2021. She also finished as the second top scorer for Spirit, helping them win the NWSL.

Back then, during her first pro season, Rodman was on ESPN’s You Have To Answer Challenge. The host asked several rapid-fire questions to the USWNT starlet, asking her to choose her favorite food, singer, and others. When asked about the best player between Ronaldo and Messi, Spirit forward quickly replied with Messi. 

Rodman will try to achieve the feat of Messi later this year. It looks like she will make it to the USWNT roster for the FIFA Women’s World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand in July and August. USWNT will go into the tournament to achieve the threepeat after winning the 2015 and 2019 World Cups.

Can Rodman make it to the USWNT World Cup roster?

Since making her debut in February 2022 during the She Believes Cup 2022, the forward has been consistent with the national team. Rodman also made it to the roster for the CONCACAF Women’s Championship in June 2022. Earlier this year, she was in the squad for the She Believes Cup 2023.

The Spirit starlet is regular with the national team. Considered the future star of the US, there are massive chances of Rodman making it to the World Cup roster. It will be her fourth appearance in a major tournament.
