Women’s soccer is booming in the country with NWSL extension and viewership increasing every year. It has given a way for new talent to shine and show their skills. The last season saw an impressive rise in viewership and fans searching on the net. Many names came out of NWSL as a sensation. One of them is 20-year-old Trinity Rodman.
She became the youngest player to be drafted in NWSL history. She showed why she deserved it and won Rookie of the Year and US Soccer Young Female Player of the Year in her first season. However, even after achieving such a feat, she will have to world very hard for a long time to match the level of her father Dennis Rodman.

After an amazing first season, her team Washington Spirit surprised everyone by giving her a record-breaking deal. The deal that will cost the club more than a million dollars over three years is the biggest in NWSL history.
Trinity Rodman talks about her father
After signing the record 1.1 million USD deal with Washington Spirit and becoming the highest-paid player in the league. She appeared in an interview with CBS, in which she talked about various aspects of her career and how she ended up where she did. However, the most noteworthy of the segment is when she talked about her father, Dennis Rodman.
While talking about her father with CBS, she said, “It sometimes could look it’s hard to outshine him or be as big as he was it was just like a kind of building my own story rather than trying to overcome his...” Given that her father was a household name in his prime and was among some of the best players whatever she said seemed right.
She then reminisced about how her father taught her to never give up and keeps on trying and giving her best. Trinity gave him credit for making her understand the actual power of teamplay and she remembers making him proud in front of thousands of fans.
The decorated career of Dennis Rodman
While Trinity Rodman is enjoying success at a very young age, she isn’t the first or bigger star in her family. That award must go to her father Dennis Rodman. The NBA hall of fame player played for 20 years. He won the NBA Championship 5 times, twice with Detroit Pistons and three times back-to-back with Chicago Bulls.

As a defensive player, they feared him as being a beast. He won the NBA defensive player of the year twice. He had so much respect in his first club Detroit Pistons that they retired his jersey no. after he left.
