Inter Miami was the most active MLS franchise in the recently concluded transfer window. After all, they landed a seven-time Ballon d’Or winner. However, Beckham tried to bring a superstar released by his former employers Real Madrid. But his efforts went in vain as Eden Hazard rejected the offer. The former Belgian left the Los Blancos this summer after mutually ending the contract.
He has been without a club for the last few weeks. And after rejecting Inter Miami’s offer, he could end up with the club’s rival, Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The former NBA superstar Steve Nash is the co-owner of the Canada-based franchise, which plays in MLS’ Western Conference. The two-time NBA MVP might make a massive coup of the transfer window for a $450 million valued franchise by bringing in the former Chelsea talisman.
Moreover, he will get the superstar for free. Hazard cost $110 million to Real Madrid. However, his dream move soon turned sour as injuries and indiscipline plagued his Los Blancos career. From returning overweight for his first-ever Real Madrid preseason to being sidelined by injuries, nothing went well for Hazard. As a result, Real Madrid mutually ended his contract this summer by arriving at a settlement for his wages.
Meanwhile, the Whitecaps are reportedly interested in signing the former Madrid outcast. Although, MLS isn’t the only option for Hazard.

With Vancouver Whitecaps pushing for the Belgian, they might face competition. Brazilian side Botafogo, owned by John Textor, is also in line to sign the former Belgium captain. However, Saudi Arabia is also a potential suitor, with Roshn Saudi League clubs following Hazard closely.
Meanwhile, there were rumors of Eden Hazard announcing his retirement from club soccer, too. It gained traction after he mutually terminated the Real Madrid contract. However, there is no update from the Belgian yet. It will be fascinating to see if Hazard ends up in MLS after rejecting Inter Miami.
