The Miami-based club is now onto the semifinals and will face Philadelphia Union. Amid all the celebrations, a rival team co-owned by Giannis Antetokounmpo, cannot wait for a probable cup final against Messi and his team, as they chanted his name.
While his soccer team’s chants have gone viral on social media, Antetokounmpo recently announced his decision of bowing out of the FIBA World Cup due to an injury. He was quick to mention that his next goal would be to qualify for the 2024 Olympics games.

Earlier this year, Nashville SC’s principal owner John Ingram announced that NHL veteran Filip Forsberg and two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo would be joining the team’s ownership group. This wasn’t the first time that sportspersons from other backgrounds invested in a team. Renowned names like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Patrick Mahomes, and many more have already invested in soccer.
Nashville is currently having a good season. They’re fourth on the Eastern Conference standings and just qualified for the semifinal of the Leagues Cup. In an ideal scenario, they could meet Lionel Messi and Inter Miami in the Cup final. For that to happen, Miami needs to beat Philadelphia and Nashville needs to get past Monterrey in the semis. From the looks of it, fans are already quite pumped about the possibility.
