Nike sponsors Cristiano Ronaldo since 2003. He became the third athlete to get a lifetime contract from Nike after NBA greats Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Although Ronaldo is yet to achieve billionaire status as an athlete and his current worth is $500 million.

Cristiano Ronaldo made it to the quarterfinal of the World Cup. He is a free agent and is in search of a new club to play for in January 2023.

Cristiano Ronaldo earns $24 Million per year from Nike

Nike awarded Cristiano Ronaldo a lifetime deal in 2016. Ronaldo makes $24 million every year from the deal. Although he is still far away from the billionaire status earned by the NBA stars Michael Jordan and LeBron James, who have a lifetime deal with Nike.

The deal is similar to that of LeBron James, where Ronaldo will get $1 billion. Before leaving Manchester United with mutual consent, Ronaldo was the third highest-paid athlete behind Lionel Messi and King James. It is believed Ronaldo will surpass the billion-dollar mark when he retires. He potentially earns between 100-150 million USD from salaries and endorsements every year.

Ronaldo makes around $50 million in revenue from endorsements. Nike is the main sponsor of the soccer star. He also works with Altice, Herbalife, DAZN, LiveScore, TAG Heuer, and Clear Shampoo, amongst others. In addition, his endeavors significantly contribute to the player’s revenue. His personal investments include CR7 Fragrances, Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels, 7EGEND, and CR7 Fitness, to name a few.

Where will Ronaldo play in January 2023?

The interview with Piers Morgan has changed things for Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester United ended the contract with the player with mutual consent, and Ronaldo is a free agent now. Bayern and PSG chief’s recent comments mean they are out of the race to sign the 37-year-old star.

However, during the World Cup, a blockbuster deal from the Saudi Arabian club was in the headlines. The deal potentially was 200 million USD a year for two and a half years. Many reports suggested the player accepted the deal until the player himself cleared the air. He denied signing the deal and is looking for a new club.

Cristiano Ronaldo still wants to play in Europe with a club playing in the UEFA Champions League. Recently he trained at the Real Madrid facility for a few days to keep himself in the shape. It will be interesting to see where Cristiano Ronaldo ends up playing in January 2023.
