After Tiger Woods, PSG has also split with Nike and Michael Jordan. These are the reports that have been dominating the headlines in recent times. But, new reports are suggesting a different outcome, which could be seen as a significant success for the global firm.
Back in 2018, PSG inked a long-term extension with Nike for their kit deal, extending it until 2032. This particular deal was hailed by the Paris-based club as their “biggest sponsorship” in history. However, recent rumors indicated a potential downfall of this partnership.

Contrary to recent reports, Nike and Michael Jordan have not decided to end the Jordan x PSG collaboration after the 2025/26 season. Sports Broadcaster Ben Jacobs has confirmed that there has been no falling apart and the basketball legend and the footwear brand will continue their partnership with the Parisians.

This move makes more sense for the brand. PSG is the biggest club in Paris, a city known as one of the largest fashion capitals in the world. By partnering with PSG, Nike maintains a powerful presence in this thriving fashion market that they are eager to penetrate.
Additionally, securing a deal with PSG is a significant achievement for Nike, particularly given the star power of players like Kylian Mbappe. Losing someone of Mbappe’s caliber would be a major setback for Nike, especially after their recent loss to Tiger Woods.
With these factors in mind, it’s clear that neither Nike nor Michael Jordan would easily willing to relinquish their positions. While rumors suggesting a split with PSG are unfounded, similar sentiments cannot be applied to Tiger Woods’ deal, which has already elicited emotional farewell messages.
