Mallory Pugh (24) and Dansby Swanson (28) are familiar names for the MLB fandom. The couple, who have been dating for the last five years, got engaged in 2021. And in an enthralling ceremony on December 10, 2022, they tied the knot in front of their families and friends.

The ceremony took place at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia, in a setting that their wedding planner described as the bride’s “vision for her dream ceremony.”

It was Mallory Pugh’s dream to get married in an enchanted forest, canopied with towering trees. The bride, who was clad in an exquisite custom Anne Barge Gown, saw her dream come to life as she exchanged her vows.

The couple said“To get married in front of our family and friends is so special. It means that we are becoming one and get to impact God’s kingdom together.” They added, “We loved having everyone in one place to celebrate, dance, and enjoy each other.”

Pugh’s brother-in-law, a former teammate of Swanson, introduced the couple who got engaged in December 2021 after four years of dating.

Pugh made her USWNT debut at 17

Mallory Pugh started her senior international career at 17 on January 23, 2016, when she was playing for the Real Colorado youth team. She was the youngest player named to the 2016 CONCACAF Women’s Qualifying squad. Pugh became the youngest US player to score a goal in the Olympics when she netted against Colombia during the Rio games.

A part of the USWNT FIFA Women’s World Cup winning team in 2019, Pugh became the third youngest player to score a goal in the tournament when she netted against Thailand. The forward also won the CONCACAF Women’s Championships in 2018 and 2022. She has 25 goals for the national team in 82 appearances to date.

Pugh started her senior club career in NWSL with Washington Spirit in 2017 and made her debut on May 20, 2017, against Kansas City. Before joining Chicago Red Stars in 2021, she spent one season with Sky Blue FC in 2020. Pugh has scored 28 club goals in 80 appearances.
