Lionel Messi may have lit up American soccer and the MLS since his move to the US. But, he has found it cumbersome to find a house to live in, and that’s only until recently. The Argentine just purchased a lavish mansion in Fort Lauderdale, and his neighbors are some of the biggest names from Hollywood and sports.

The Argentine World Cup winner’s new home will neighbor the likes of A-listers like Tiger Woods and Scottie Pippen. Messi earlier expressed his desire to find a house especially considering his children would “start school soon.” He was quoted saying, We still don’t have the house where we are going to live for the whole stay…the kids will start school soon too.”

Messi’s new star neighbors need no introduction. Tom Cruise the star Hollywood actor, golf legend Tiger Woods and ex-Chicago Bulls and NBA star Scottie Pippen, are some of Messi’s new neighbors.

Messi has bought his home in the Fort Lauderdale, Broward County area which is 45 kilometers from Miami. A report in media outlet TN360, states details about Messi’s new house with the following details: “[It is] 979 square meters and eight bedrooms, has 0.4 acres, two docks, an oceanfront pool, gym, spa and has an Italian-designed kitchen. In addition, Leo and Antonela Roccuzzo’s master suite has an area of 149 square meters.”

The exact value of Messi’s new home is reportedly $10.54 million dollars. Renowned US podcaster Joe Pompliano has also tweeted about the details of Messi’s new purchase on X. As his tweet suggests, the house is in total 10,500 square feet with 10 beds and 9 baths along with a 170-foot waterfront, and an oceanfront pool and two docks.

Pompliano’s tweet also reports that the house is 15 minutes away from Inter Miami’s stadium. According to TN360, his home will also have a spa, a gym, and an Italian-style kitchen.

Messi was away from Inter Miami during the international break representing Argentina. The Argentine captain scored the only goal of the game in La Albiceleste‘s 1-0 win over Ecuador, where he scored a brilliant free-kick in the 78th minute to give Argentina the win.

Messi missed last night’s game vs. Bolivia as Argentina went on to win 3-0. Despite resting Messi, goals from Enzo Fernandez, Nicolas Taglifico, and Nicolas Gonzalez gave Argentina the victory.

According to Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni, Messi was rested due to fatigue. Scaloni stated,  “Leo was tired the other day and asked to be substituted, But it’s not needed that we speak to him before matches. We see as it goes.”

Nevertheless, Messi could feature for Inter Miami in their upcoming fixtures for September. They play Toronto at home on 20th September, Orlando City away on 24th September, and New York City FC in Miami on 30th September.
