Premier League soccer star speaks about playing golf
Spurs defender Eric Dier recently opened up about playing golf in his free time. Dier said, “I think my earliest memories of golf were just playing with my brothers and dad. We lived next to a Golf course. So, play golf there and lose our tempers.”
Dier further spoke about what playing golf means to him: “It’s a kind of form of meditation, really, because you’re outdoors for four hours, and you’re not really thinking about anything else. For me, it’s a great place to be, to unwind, and to relax. Have fun with your friends. Yeah, that’s what I love about it most, Spurs defender said.
“And then just the challenge, because you’re playing against yourself and your mind and having to control your emotions and control yourself mentally, is obviously the most important thing for it. So that’s a great challenge and something that I think can help you in many different ways,” the English defender added.
Dier and Spurs are in the top four fights in the Premier League. Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League, three points behind Manchester United in the race for the top four. They are in European places but will hope to finish in the top four to play in the UEFA Champions League next season. Eric Dier will hope to help the club win the battle to finish in the top four.
