Guess what, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have a special news again! But this time, it’s not about their soccer love, Wrexham. The Hollywood duo has just acquired a sizable stake in Alpine Racing. Alpine Racing’s parent company is Renault. Without a doubt, it is quite an interesting investment for the two of them. The real question is whether they would be interested in gracing the fanbase’s eyes with an Alpine Racing docuseries.

The two of them have garnered an immense amount of success with their Welcome to Wrexham docuseries. In fact, the ever-famous soccer docuseries won a Critics’ Choice award in 2023.

The Hollywood-rich investor group has now managed to secure a spot in the F1 universe. While everything that Ryan Reynolds currently touches turns into gold, would he be interested in creating an F1 docuseries for Renault? During his pursuit of F1 glory, the docuseries could act as a major marketing practice. And Reynolds is no stranger to this concept!

Moreover, the fans have already bought into the possibility of a documentary. Ever-famous F1 photographer Kyle Illman recently posted about the investment. Nevertheless, he brought up the big question surrounding the docuseries.

On Instagram, he wrote, “Having watched the sensational Wrexham Football Club doco recently, I’m thrilled to learn today that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have spearheaded a €200m investment in Alpine. This values the team around US$900m. The TV doco should be a ripper”.

Honestly, whichever sporting entity he plans to join, the chatter surrounding a full-on high-production docuseries is always a topic of discussion. Even when he was in the process of taking over the Ottawa Senators in the NHL, possibilities around a documentary production were quite imminent.
