MLS is among the most lucrative leagues in the United States of America. The league has some of the best teams across the whole U.S. Moreover, the league has hosted some of the best players.

Besides this, the league has immense potential in financial terms. And given the increase in the league’s popularity, it is expected to rise even more. In fact, MLS might have found a way to boost its viewership even more.
MLS set to release its documentary
In an attempt to make the tournament a central figure in soccer, MLS has decided to release its documentary. According to the deputy commissioner of the league, Gary Stevenson, MLS is collaborating with British production house Box to Box Films to create and produce their documentary.

The production house is famous for making many other hit series, with Netflix’s “Drive to Survive”, being the most famous one. They even recently produced “Full Swing,” and “Break Point,” which cover golf’s PGA and Tennis’ ATP and WTA Tour.

Reports suggest that production has been started and the series will be available on Apple TV and also on the league’s website, social, and YouTube channels. They recently penned a 10-year deal with Apple for $2.5 billion in media as a league’s new broadcast partner.
Different from the MLS’s season pass
MLS’s Season Pass includes leagues’ regular and postseason games. The league will also offer other additional content, including weekly team analysis and reports, and player biography.
Don Gaber, MLS commissioner, gave the importance of the season’s program, with respect to programming that will focus on more ambitious teams. Whereas, the Box-to-Box is working on quite a long format.

“Every team has the opportunity to do their own ‘Drive to Survive’ and have the largest technology and most innovative consumer-facing company in the world provide the platform for that,” said Garber.
“You think about what was so original and engaging and what put F1 on the map in this country … This is going to be a test for our teams. They are required to provide some amount of content, because that’s the MLS thing — to centrally ensure that our teams are doing what they need to do to support a collective effort.”
Gaber insists on creating interesting, and relevant content that drives enough subscribers and helps build connections with fans.
