A big section of fans of rap artist A$AP Rocky are ecstatic, as he signs with Puma. The Harlem-born artist recently won the Virgil Abloh Award, presented by Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. Citing what can be A$AP Rocky’s breakthrough deal in sports fashion, David Beckham‘s son Romeo has shared his reaction.

Puma, meanwhile, signed a multi-year licensing deal with F1 in May. The deal is crucial for the sportswear brand, as it looks to add to the company’s revenue and find new audiences from niche sports, such as motorsports and cricket. Puma saw a remarkable growth of 41.6%, reaching  $35.8 million in royalty and commission income in the last year.

A$AP Rocky has assumed the role of Creative Director for Puma’s Formula 1 venture, signaling a strategic convergence of streetwear and motorsports. The first line of products from the Puma – F1 collaboration will premier at the Las Vegas Grand Prix later this November. Romeo Beckham is a fan of the Harlem rap artist and is a fashionista himself. His response conveys the feeling of the importance of this deal.

Romeo Beckham took to his Instagram as he shared the news of A$AP Rocky’s appointment as the Creative Director. He shared the announcement by adding star-struck emojis, emitting the excitement he feels and the impact it can have on the upcoming F1 fashion circuit.

In future plans, A$AP Rocky will curate a series of capsule collections that will be themed around prominent F1 races and oversee on-site activations while also managing marketing duties. By the 2025 season, Puma plans to entrust Rocky with more creative control.
