During the event, the founder of the renowned American watch brand Jacob and Co., Mr. Jacob Arabo, personally came to greet Ronaldo and gift him a special million-dollar watch. While affixing him with the new timepiece, CR7 removed the one he came wearing from his home and handed it over to Georgina, which left her quite tense. “It was opening night for the boxing match, so they gave Cris a watch,” she began.

“He took off the one he was wearing. He put it in my handbag. I was anxious all night because there was, you know, a diamond watch in my handbag,” admitted Rodriguez. Perhaps this thought must have come due to the fear that she might misplace it or break it while keeping it under possession. Notably, the one that Cristiano gave Rodriguez to keep it in her handbag was actually a Franck Muller Cintree Curvex Tourbillon which has a market value of around $1.5 million. A unique property of that watch is that it had baguette diamonds in strategic places and a white gold case. This is considered one of the favorite watches of Ronaldo as the Portuguese skipper is often seen donning it on his wrist.

As for the timepiece he received as a gift was actually a Jacob & Co Twin Turbo Furious, crafted in 18k white gold and adorned with a factory diamond-set case. Valued $1.3 million, this limited edition watch has only 18 pieces produced worldwide, one of which now rests in Ronaldo’s opulent watch collection.
