While the basketball world buzzes with excitement over this latest achievement, Clark’s fever seems to have found its way to the realm of the beautiful game. Several USWNT stars expressed their desire to see her on the pitch, insisting that she might be ‘good at soccer.’
Recently, Team USA shared a video on Instagram in which they asked Rose Lavelle, Crystal Dunn, and Emily Sonnett which WNBA draftee they would select as their next teammate on the soccer pitch. Interestingly, Lavelle replied, “I’m gonna say, Caitlin Clark, because I’m pretty sure she played soccer in high school and she is like so good at basketball that I’m sure she is so good at soccer too.”
Dunn also had praise for the Iowa Hawkeyes star, saying, “She’s been incredible, she has really elevated the women’s game and I’m excited to see her future.” However, Dunn had another surprising name to add: “I also think Angel Resse could be a good fit on the soccer team. She has that swagger behind it and I think that would be amazing.” Finally, Sonnett also took the name of Clark, acknowledging that her good shooting and vision would see the 22-year-old star deliver a lot on the soccer pitch.
