While speaking, Ferdinand shed light on the extraordinary traits of Cristiano Ronaldo when Joshua asked about the best player he played with. Ferdinand and Ronaldo played together at United for six seasons. Ferdinand shared some details of those six seasons.

“Ronaldo is just ridiculous. His desire to be the best was just relentless. I’ve never seen anything like it. Just a man possessed to get to the top and would do anything to get there,” Ferdinand stated. Former United defender added, “He was brave to take risks, he came over to another country. He was brave to remain the person that he was, and didn’t change, really.”

Speaking about the obsession of the Portuguese, Ferdinand said, “He became obsessed with the sport that he chose and then drilled down into details which was building a team around himself.” Ferdinand also shared some details that Ronaldo used to focus on. Ronaldo, having a personal masseur, nutritionist, doctor, physio, and chef, impressed United legend.

Ferdinand was a fan of the Portuguese’s vision of having his personal staff to help improve himself. Former United defender felt Ronaldo kept on focusing on every little detail to unleash his improved version. Ferdinand also shared an incident during Juventus days of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Once Ronaldo sent pictures of him doing deep water recovery sessions in the sea. He used to drive two hours from Turin for those recovery sessions. “Other people are at home or out at dinner. He’s just looking for that extra edge,” Ferdinand said. Ronaldo earned a name for himself with sheer determination and is one of the greatest of all time in the history of sports.
