Cristiano Ronaldo would still want a better year than 2022 as it was one of the worst in his decorated career. The bad year contributed as EA didn’t include the star striker in one of the most notable voting lists.

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be in Team Of The Year

For FIFA 23 EA has released the list of TOTY nominees. It left the fans in an enormous shock as they noticed that it does not include the former Manchester United star as the probable member of the team of the year. Fans expect this to be the direct result of the poor year he has had.

This is the first Team of the Year nomination that doesn’t have Cristiano Ronaldo. The only star who has held this record, who is present in this list is none other than the arch-rival of Cristiano Ronaldo. Lionel Messi has had an amazing year. The fact that he won the World Cup trophy will have a huge impact on the voting.

Some other notable names from the list are French soccer prodigy Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Jr., Robert Lewandowski, and Karim Benzema. Messi’s teammates Enzo Fernandez and Emiliano Martinez also made the list in their categories.

Erling Haaland is also on the list and he will get his first team-of-the-year card. Cristiano Ronaldo was out after voting last year but came back as the 12th man after separate voting.

Al-Nassr After the Manchester United fiasco
