Smash Bros. Ultimate set to feature Steve, Alex, Zombie, and Enderman from Minecraft

Although Minecraft characters don’t jump to mind when discussing fighting characters, Steve and others will be able to pack quite a punch. They will have pickaxes as their stable weapons and will be able to throw blocks at enemies. In addition to this, the characters will also be able to use their trademark ability, i.e. crafting.

Moreover, Masahiro adds that Nintendo is revamping the levels in the game to accommodate their fighting characteristics.

Steve will be available in the game as a part of the second fighter pass, following Min Min from Arms, who the game introduced this summer. With Steve’s addition, the number of fighters in the game will go up to 77. The whole set of Minecraft characters will cost players $6 to download, including new stages and assorted music. Players can also get them free if they already have the $30 fighter pass.
