Romanian tennis star Simona Halep is one of the top players on the WTA tour currently. The two-time Grand Slam champ is currently competing in her home country at the Transylvania Open. Recently, there was another positive development in her schedule this year. She received a wild card and will be competing in the Upper Austria Ladies Linz 2021, which is held in Austria.
Besides Simona Halep, there are other prominent names that will be competing in this event. However, the most notable amongst them is the recently crowned US Open champion, Emma Raducanu.

Simona Halep against Emma Raducanu will be an interesting one
It will be interesting if these players end up meeting each other during the tournament in Linz. They have never played against each other, but that could change at the ongoing Transylvania Open if both progress to the semi-finals of the event. Raducanu has admitted that Halep is a player that she looks up to on the tour. It will be a treat to watch the two face off, the experience of Halep on one side versus the raw talent of Raducanu on the other.

Moving on to Raducanu, things have not gone well for her after she fired her coach post the US Open success. She is expected to compete against Polona Hercog in the Transylvania Open 2021 later today. We wish her the best of luck and hope she can bounce back to winning ways.
