Is this the best time in the streaming world or what?! After Ninja made a surprise appearance on Twitch recently, and on YouTube earlier, and with DrDisrespect on YouTube, we were certainly hoping that Shroud would make an appearance as well. And finally, he is here! Shroud is back on Twitch and crossed the 100k viewer count within 3 minutes.

Shroud had gone AWOL for quite a long time following the Mixer shut down and fans had heard no news from him since. Ninja had gone MIA too, but he made a one-time appearance on YouTube and Twitch, each. DrDisrespect had faced an unfortunate ban on Twitch and left fans on a cliffhanger before announcing his return.

Fans had been making all sorts of speculations regarding what Shroud might do next, which streaming platform he will be on next. As it turns out, he made the return to Twitch. And how!
“You can call me uncle Shroud if you want”
The popular streamer has grown a French-cut beard now, which, frankly, suits him really well. However, DrDisrespect, being himself, posted a tweet with just a picture of Adam Sandler from the Netflix original Uncut Gems, where he does kind of look similar to Shroud. The legend says that he is an “old man now”, towards the beginning of the stream. Because, well, he has two pairs of glasses now.

Shroud came back and played his current staple game, Valorant. It felt really great watching the lord in action once more after a long hiatus. Having come back, he immediately talked about the hype Doc generated before his return. He said that maybe fans expected something of that sort from him as well.
“You know me, I’m not gonna have like a seven-minute-long video, you know, driving in a Lamborghini… Rolling down the window and shouting out random kids like an old man.”

The reference is obviously to DrDisrespect. But then, they are both very different people and we wouldn’t say Doc’s fans hated the hype he generated before his return. On the other hand, fans sort of expected Shroud to have a more composed and discreet return with just the right amount of hype.
Fans and fellow pros loved Shroud’s return stream and both xQc and Myth donated 100 subs to him. Personally, we can’t wait for his next stream. Welcome back, king!
