Valorant has grown to be one of the best competitive FPS titles out there and has already attracted positive comparison with a classic such as CS: GO. Riot Games has been working really hard to bring the game up to the competitive standard that we are seeing today. The game has a lot of potential as an eSport title and has already attracted a large player-base. This is quite impressive, considering it is relatively new on the scene.

Shroud does not want to get pro in Valorant

On his stream, a fan asked Shroud if he will be going pro in Valorant and his answer was in the negative. The game currently features quite a few names in its pro scene, including the likes of Spencer “Hiko” Martin, the renowned CS: GO pro. Now, we all know that Shroud has retired from the competitive gaming scene for quite a while now. But going pro in a relatively new game and becoming a part of its hall of fame is something definitely worth it. But then, maybe Shroud does not want to grind for the pro status in Valorant since his focus is entirely on streaming. As for the hall of fame, he does not have the need to prove himself any further.

Moreover, Valorant is seeing the rise of quite a hoard of fresh talent. Recently, Team Liquid signed the players from a relatively new team called Fish123 into their Valorant roster. The roster also includes the CS: GO “one-tap” legend ScreaM. With a fresh bunch of talent on the rise in Valorant, and with pros like Shroud streaming the game, it has already achieved a stable ecosystem and player base.
