Valheim offers an expansive massive world, but should you buy it?
The title is still in its alpha phase and is being tested from every angle imaginable. It is bound to have issues, and it even feels clunky on lower-end rigs which could hamper the gaming experience. While it certainly won’t run at the desired 60 fps on lower-end rigs, there have been reports of the fps dropping even on higher-end rigs. However, these issues can be ignored for the time being as the game is still a work in progress and a long way off its final launch.

Troubling aspect of the title
If you are a fan of open-world survival games, then this one should be right up your alley. Sure, there are some game mechanics that seem unnecessary and annoying, but the developers should iron out many such issues before the launch.
The developers need to come up with a change in the way structures are repaired inside the game. As of now, players need to use the hammer on every single piece of structure in order to repair it. Several gaming mechanics like this one serve as a major drawback that makes the gameplay feel drab at times.
Although the game is far from being perfect, it has still got many things right.
Things that Valheim got it right
With the negative aspects addressed, let’s talk about the positives in the title. The best part about it is indeed the expansive world and everything that it offers. The players can feel the technological advancement happen as they progress in the game, as they discover new items, upgrade their equipment along with the base.
The level progression, boss fights, and immersive gameplay will ensure that you stay glued to the title. Not to forget the wide range of monsters, world bosses, and beings you encounter on the map that will keep you on your toes.
A blend of all these aspects will accurately give off the feeling of being a Viking, as you plunder and tear through the world.
