The ‘Men in Blue’ will face fourth-placed New Zealand in the first semifinals in Manchester on July 9. Their previous encounter in the league stages of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 was washed out without even a single ball being bowled.
Shoaib Akhtar suggested that he would like to have the biggest title of cricket in the subcontinent only and wishes India to win the World Cup.
Shoaib Akhtar said on his YouTube channel, “New Zealand can’t take the pressure. I hope they don’t choke this time. But I really want the World Cup to stay in the subcontinent and I think, I will back India all the way.”
Rohit Sharma has been in the best of the form as he scored his 5th century of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on Saturday against Sri Lanka. The right-handed opener is also the highest scorer of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Shoaib Akhtar also feels that the ‘Green Army’ was a better team than the ‘Blackcaps’ and they could have made it to the semifinals if net run rate did not come into action. He continued, “Pakistan played better than New Zealand. I really thought they would make it but the net run rate is a cruel thing.”
