Slovakian World No. 32, Dominika Cibulkova is against Serena Williams? idea of having protected seedings and rankings for players who come back from pregnancy. Serena Williams gave birth in September last year and has since played only 3 tournaments. She had earlier stated that there should be a provision wherein players returning from pregnancy could be seeded again at Grand Slams.
But Cibulkova believes otherwise. ?I don?t think it is the right thing to do. I think it?s just not fair. I have tried and I should be seeded. If they put her in front of me, then I will lose my spot?, she said.
?I will lose something that I am supposed to have. I was a former number four and it?s also like; ?why should I not be seeded if I have the right to be??, added Cibulkova.

The seeding decision for Wimbledon is due to take place today afternoon. The hosts, All England Club traditionally follow the WTA ranking list when giving out the seeds to the participants.
But according to their rules, they also reserve the right to make a change if it is ?necessary to produce a balanced draw?. If Serena is seeded, then Cibulkova will be left out in the cold as she shall enter the Slam unseeded.
In her brief French Open sojourn, Serena looked every bit of the champion that she was. She won a couple of matches and even dug deep to win another in three sets.
