American tennis legend Serena Williams has been the best player on the WTA Tour over the last two decades. The 40-year-old is good friends of British F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton. Along with Serena, her husband Alexis Ohanian is also a staunch supporter of the seven-time World Champion as well.

Recently, Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian tweeted about the results of the Formula One qualifying race in Abu Dhabi. He was disgruntled because Lewis Hamilton finished second behind arch-rival Max Verstappen.

Serena Williams and Lewis Hamilton share a close bond

The last race of the F1 season in Abu Dhabi is a historic occasion as Lewis and his archrival, Max Verstappen, are level on points. The race on Sunday will be a winner-takes-all occasion and Max grabbed the all-important pole position in qualifying today.

This irked Alexis as he took to Twitter to express his disappointment.

Hamilton and Verstappen are at loggerheads with both racers tied on 369.5 points. It is going to go down the wire as both racers will give it they’re all in the final race on Sunday.

Over the years, Serena and Alexis have been spotted attending races in which Hamilton has competed. Even Lewis has been spotted in the Williams camp cheering her on during her matches. Once Serena happened to bump into Lewis when she was out with her daughter Olympia, shopping.

Coming to tennis, Williams began her season in Melbourne and came as far as the semifinal at the Australian Open. After that, she had a below-par clay season. She underperformed during the initial clay events and lost in the fourth round of the French Open.
