The Mumbai Indians are having one of their best seasons this time. With 10 wins in 14 games, they are enjoying the top draw in the IPL table this time. Even though their captain, Rohit Sharma is not in top stature the rest of the team has not held back. Come any occasion, the Mumbai team has responded well with both the bat and the bowl. A crucial part of the Mumbai team has been played this year by the Pandya brothers.

Hardik Pandya who has recently made his way into the national side has impressed with his all-rounder skills. He has been an instrumental lower order batsman for the MI team this year with a strike rate of above 160. He has made 216 runs and bagged 6 wickets in 14 matches. Older brother Krunal has not disappointed either. His bowling skills are improving day by day as he claimed 10 wickets in 10 matches. He has also scored 136 runs playing in the middle order.
The Pandya brothers are generally seen in the field with a strong brotherhood between them. They have been seen congratulating each other on the field multiple times. But after the MI vs KKR match on 13 May, the circumstances probably changed. The brothers engaged in what can only be called a bitter twitter spat.
Sometimes in life, people closest to you end up disappointing you the most. Not cool, bro!

Hardik tweeted “Sometimes in life, people closest to you end up disappointing you the most. Not cool, bro!” This tweet saw a reply from his older brother, “this shouldn’t have happened in the first place. I am bade bhaiyya for a reason. Let’s not make this a big issue!”

The reason for this fight is still unknown. But Virender Sehwag known for his sarcasm on twitter did not hesitate in intervening in this dispute and advising the lads not to fight. He adjudged money as a matter of the dispute between the brothers and said in his tweet, “Lagta hai,’Baap Bada Na Bhaiyya, Sabse Bada Rupaiyya’ – is gaane ko jyada hi seriously le liya. Lado mat yaar!”

Sehwag’s tweet rather than solving the issue has rather raised more questions in the minds of the fans as what the exact reason was. However, many fans tweeted to the brothers requesting them to solve their matters in person rather than involving the social media.
Mumbai Indians face the Rising Pune Supergiants in the first qualifiers. The team would be hoping to see a good performance from the brothers. We can just hope that the brothers leave their fight in the dressing room and play to the best of their abilities against Pune. Their attitude on the ground can play a vital role in deciding MI’s title contention.
