During the Australian GP, Mercedes dominated the proceedings, but it was Valtteri Bottas up front. Meanwhile Scuderia Ferrari could not hold a candle to the Silver Arrows. This did not bode well for Sebastian Vettel who complained, “Why are we so slow”. A clueless Ferrari replied, “We don’t know yet.”
It was a far cry from how the Italians were dominant during pre-season testing. Many even predicted that the Maranello outfit would be favourites for the championship. But now, Mercedes have found another gear and cranked up the effort. Both Ferrari drivers are currently languishing in 4th and 5th places.

Ferrari’s day only got worse once Max Verstappen muscled his way past and Sebastian Vettel came under pressure from teammate Charles LeClerc. Verstappen actually pulled off an incredible move on Vettel as he got close in the first DRS zone. He then got the job done in the second DRS zone after dancing round the outside of the Ferrari.
