Aaron Judge just made history on Wednesday with his 300th home run and the player who helped fuel Judge’s incredible achievement? None other than his teammate, Giancarlo Stanton. Judge reached this milestone in just 995 games, the fastest ever, and he made sure to give a heartfelt nod to Stanton during his postgame interview. Power-hitting is a trademark of the former MVP, but let’s not forget Giancarlo Stanton, who’s also known for crushing the ball like few others.

With 433 home runs under his belt, Stanton is a beast at the plate, routinely hitting balls at over 100 mph. A baseball star who has inspired many, Giancarlo Stanton’s impacts have also reached Yankees beast Aaron Judge, who, after winning the match and hitting his record-breaking home run in the same game ( as he always wanted to), didn’t forget to acknowledge his counterpart. “I saw Big G do it the other day at home against the Rangers, so it sparked my inspiration,” Judge noted during his media exchange.

This isn’t the first time the captain has praised Stanton for his glory, Back in May 2024, Aaron Judge hit a monster 467-foot home run that rocketed off the bat at 113 mph and even touched the third deck. He then also couldn’t stop praising Stanton. “Well, I’ve seen Big G do that quite a few times, and it usually leaves me speechless,” Judge said. Meanwhile, as Judge’s ball sailed through the air during the game against the twins, Stanton, known for his jaw-dropping home runs—including a record-setting 504-footer—raced up the stairs to see where it would land. This truly shows how much team spirit and standing for each other means in the Yankees, and their reaction once again proves this for their captain’s record-breaking home run

Other teammates also expressed their happiness in the post-game interview; with the iconic Stanton, the Big G, the inspiration behind Aaron Judge’s 300th home run. He also emphasized, “It’s incredible, he does something special every day. Having been to see most of his career, it’s been fun to watch his evolution. He’s got more in store.”

While the captain was humbly delighted to be included in the club of players hitting their 300th run, Juan Soto went one step ahead, stating that he is confident that Judge has a chance to make another record, surpassing Barry Bonds’ 762 homers. “Why not?” Soto affirmed, continuing. “I think he’s the guy who can literally break the record. … I hope he has the health to do it, and I’m going to enjoy it as much as I can, too.”
