After just six episodes, LeBron James’ wife, Savannah James‘ podcast, “Everybody’s Crazy,” is coming to an end. The pilot came out on 29 April earlier this year. In the last episode, Savannah and her co-host, April Daniel, openly discussed their reasons for calling it quits and it might come as a surprise to you.

“Everybody has their own version, that’s really why we created this show. This show would not exist without callers,” April explained. “We don’t want this show to exist without callers so we won’t continue to have a podcast without you guys, without people calling in, connecting with us. One thing we’ve learned over the last six episodes…for some reason, people have a fear or a shyness about calling in. And I think we want to hear from everybody. We want to talk to you, that was the point of making this.

It seems that there has been a significant drop in the number of callers the podcast was receiving. Everybody’s Crazy started off as a podcast that would invite listeners to call in with their “crazy” stories because according to Savannah and April, everybody has their kind of “crazy.” The duo would then interact with their callers, share personal insights and anecdotes, and give out advice.

April elaborated further and talked about the larger issue of accessibility and public perception of celebrities. “So many people don’t feel accessible and that, like, I think the world has created these tiers or these levels of like ‘Oh, that person is untouchable.’” Savannah agreed, adding, “It’s giving human, it’s giving human.”

The podcast’s interactive design placed a strong emphasis on caller interaction to spark conversations and establish a connection with listeners. Unfortunately, listeners’ reluctance to participate and call in led to the early end of the broadcast.

What’s next for Savannah James’ podcast?

Some good news for fans; this is not the end. “We want people to call in when we’re promoting it,” April emphasized. “You know the goal is to do a series and then take a little bit of a break and come back and do a series. And we’re planning a lot of cool stuff for you guys, some merch and some great merch things, team Savannah, team April.”

Savannah has always stayed out of the limelight and this is the first time she’s ever taken up a project like this one. The podcast saw her open up about her thoughts, feelings, and opinions on everything under the sun, including her husband and her kids. Even though the podcast might be taking a break for the foreseeable future, Savannah and April thanked their listeners. Additionally, they made references to upcoming endeavors and programs with their community in mind.

Even though their podcast was only two months old, it had accumulated almost 19k subscribers on YouTube. Their highest streamed video had 138k views. Sadly, their viewership has been facing a decline over the recent weeks.

The premature end of “Everybody’s Crazy” has disappointed fans who valued the unique and intimate element that Savannah and April provided to the podcasting community. Moving forward, Savannah and April are equally excited about discovering different ways to connect with their audience and expanding upon the groundwork established by their project.
