The Ryder Cup 2020 is finally here, players and fans equally excited about the two teams clashing at Whistling Straits. The last event was held in Paris back in 2018, Europe securing a win over the USA. Now, after a two-year gap, Europe will be getting a chance to defend its title. That being said, Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia seem to be on another level of excitement.
In a recent video shared, both McIlroy and Garcia are seen recreating a signature Cristiano Ronaldo celebration. Of course, European fans seemed to love the enthusiasm – which looked like some early celebration on their part.

Their celebration came as something that both relaxed and motivated them. They reenacted Ronaldo’s famous ‘Siuuu’ celebration on the course a day before the Ryder Cup begins.
McIlroy is a Machester United fan, while Garcia is known to be a Real Madrid fan, a club Ronaldo has previously played for. Additionally, he has also been a part of the honorary kick-off in the Real Madrid vs Barcelona El Clasico match after his 2017 Masters win.
McIlroy has previously spoken about what the Ryder Cup means. “Padraig (Harrington) played a video for us last night to put it into context,” he said. “164 players have represented Great Britain and Ireland and then Europe in the Ryder Cup, but 570 people have been into space”. McIlroy gave a few more examples before adding that when you concentrate on it, you realize it is a sort of an elite club to be a part of.
