After 3 days of amazing golf, team USA brought home the trophy. They did so in truly dominating style with a record-breaking score of 19-9.

The 18-time-major winner took to Twitter to type out this delightful congratulatory message. Nicklaus praised the team for the quick lead taken by them on the first 2 days, which set up for an amazing climax on Sunday. He went on to say that this is a colossal moment for American golf and will definitely pave the way for many such victories.

This milestone called for congratulatory messages from many others. Legends like Tiger Woods and Tom Watson also praised the young and inexperienced team. The officials named Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia as the inaugural winners of the Nicklaus-Jacklin award.
