Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed all the speculation surrounding his future at the club, and insisted that he wants to work with new coach Rafael Benitez. Ronaldo also claimed to have no news about the future of team-mate Sergio Ramos.
Recent reports in Spain claimed that the Portuguese man was not happy with the departure of former boss Carlo Ancelotti. Ronaldo publicly supported the 55-year-old after the end of last season and before his sacking. Madrid star wrote on his twitter account, “Great coach and amazing person. Hope we work together next season.”
Therefore, the sacking of Italian Coach caused widespread speculation about a disagreement between Ronaldo and club President Florentino Perez, and many reports claimed that Ronaldo wanted to leave the Spanish capital. There were also reports that the new Boss Benitez might make Gareth Bale as the focal point of the team instead of him.
Paris St. Germain were believed to make a huge bid for the Ballon d’Or winner after the Financial Fair Play (FFP) restrictions on the club were lifted by UEFA. But the Portugal Skipper has recently stated that he wants to work with the experienced Benitez in the upcoming season.
“I’ve never worked with him, but he’s a coach with a lot of experience. We’ll see what happens, but I want to work with him,” he told SNTV. “We’ll see if we can win important titles. I’m eager to get working with him.”
Ronaldo was also asked about the future of his friend and team-mate Sergio Ramos, but the 30-year-old winger had nothing to say about his potential transfer to Manchester United. He simply replied, “I don’t know.”
