Rogue Company published by Hi-Rez Studios is now in its open beta phase. Additionally, it has been made free to play on all platforms. The game had started out with a closed beta back in June and users had to purchase it back then.

The news was announced earlier today in a tweet.

Rogue Company is a team-based co-op PVP shooter played in a third-person perspective. The game grabbed a lot of attention after Dr Disrespect started playing it on his stream a while after his return from the Twitch ban. The Two-Time has even designed a personalized map for the game that was approved by the devs.

An Xbox Wire post by the game had some impressive stats on how popular the game already is.

” Not only did you make the launch of Rogue Company a huge success, you also showed your drive for winning and wracked up some impressive stats: 500m+ downs. 35m+ revives. 10m+ headshots with the LR15 Fullbody sniper rifle.”

The game will furthermore support cross-platform play, which will include PC, Xbox One, PS4, and also Nintendo Switch.

The open beta comes right after the latest update in the game: Desert Rose. This update saw the introduction of the new map, Lockdown. Pretty ironic a name for a map if you consider the timing!

This map is a maximum-security prison, located deep in the jungles of Venezuela. Along with the map, players now have the ability to play custom matches.
