Roger Federer may arguably be the best tennis player in the world. However, if he was not a tennis player, what else could he have been doing?
That’s some food for thought. The Swiss star pondered over this question in an interview with Simon Parker of the BBC, albeit in a different manner.
Simon asked Roger about an unexplored part of himself that he might like to pursue after retirement. Maybe, something he’s bad at and wants to improve.

What Did Roger Federer Say?
After joking that he doesn’t even know how to iron a shirt, Roger talked about his unexplored passion –
“There’s a lot of things that I can’t do as well. That’s also one of the big beauties of what’s coming after. Actually, I’ll have the time to learn a new instrument, maybe another language, or maybe go visit some places I’ve never been to and learn from that. I’m a good tennis player doesn’t mean I’m good at everything else. And I think it’s also quite exciting to start somewhere from scratch again. By far not a good chef or good cook by any stretch, so I’ll look to learn that as well. That can be done altogether with my children because I know they love their cooking.”
Talking about playing instruments, Roger also talked about which ones he might experiment with. He revealed that he liked playing the piano growing up and might pursue that.
However, he said there’s an instrument his wife likes which he wants to learn and eventually surprise her. He didn’t reveal what the instrument was.
