World No.3 Roger Federer has an inkling that his four children will be unlikely to follow his footsteps as he suggested that except for one, his kids are not inclined towards sports and will not compete on the professional tennis tour.

The Swiss maestro suggested that he will support his children to pursue their career in whichever field they are interested in but he revealed that he would have been very happy if they would have played tennis or any other sport. However, the 38-year-old divulged that none of his kids are interested in sports except for one.

“I will support my children whatever direction they wanna go if it’s sports it’s a great thing. Sports really has genuine power, you learn to lose, win, stay with others. I would be very happy if they had played but I am not sure they will because I have one of four who is somehow interested, the other three are not that much,” Federer said in an interview during his exhibition matches in North and South America.

While Federer is a 20-time Grand Slam champion and his wife Mirka Federer is a former World No.76. However, their kids seem to possess some different skills from that of their parents.

Talking about any one of the kids showing tennis skills yet Federer said in an interview with NBC News: “Yeah one of them, the other three (gesturing dicy). One is on a strike right now, he hasn’t played tennis in two months, doesn’t want to do it, you know which one.”

“And then the girls, they start to actually join more and more as we go along because I’ve always wanted them to play tennis because its sort of no one think we require the kids to do because all our friends play tennis also and I don’t want to have my kids be the only ones that don’t play any tennis. It will just be too embarrassing for all of us,” he added further.
