Among the tennis players, Bautista Agut isn’t the first one to rate basketball legend Michael Jordan highly. Many of his competitors like Roger Federer and Nick Kyrgios have said a lot about Michael Jordan.
Roger Federer in an earlier interview had placed Jordon as his inspiration alongside tennis greats, Boris Becker and Stefan Edberg. Federer had said:
“He was more of a hero for me growing up like Boris Becker and Stefan Edberg were. He was one of those iconic idols for me that I looked up to… Jordan was different because I looked up to him and he was so smooth. Everything about him was just easy-going, relaxed, and in control. I like that about him.”

Kyrgios hailed Jordon for bringing basketball and NBA to the forefront and said, “What [Michael Jordan] did for the sport, what that ‘Dream Team’ did – It put NBA on the map globally and made people actually take note of how cool basketball is. I think what Jordan has done for the sport is insane,”
